Sara Castaneda
UI/UX Designer & Photographer

Hi, I’m Sara! Designer, Photographer, and Storyteller who sees the world through both intuition and intention.
My journey didn’t begin in a design school or at a whiteboard. It began in spaces where people gather. You can find me in community events, hotels, exploring different countries, behind the lens, and curiously asking questions to learn how people feel. I learned how to listen before solving, how to spot unspoken needs, and how to turn fleeting moments into experiences that stay with you.
That mindset led me to UX and UI. Not as a departure from photography, but as a natural extension of it. Where photography captures emotion in a single frame, design lets me build for it—systematically, strategically, and with care. I still think like a photographer: zooming out to see the full journey, then zooming in to make every detail count. And I still design like a storyteller: every screen, every flow, every interaction is part of a narrative I want the user to feel, not just use.
Over time, I’ve carved out roles that blend UX strategy, research, content, and visual design—often bridging gaps between product vision and lived reality. I thrive in the messy middle: where human insights meet business goals, and where clarity emerges from complexity.
My best work isn't flashy or loud, it's deeply felt. Whether I’m building a user flow, capturing a moment, or mapping out a product strategy, I’m always asking: Does this make someone feel seen? Does this help them move through the world more easily?
If the answer is yes, then I know I’m on the right path.
